2004-2007, Financed by ProViking The research project Factory-in-a-box is a three-year collaboration between Sweden’s leading researchers within production system and the manufacturing industry. In this project, flexible and mobile manufacturing module is developed and tested in real factory environments. The modules will contain different levels of automated equipment and is designed to be installed in for example a container. This approach makes the production cell easy to ship and to be moved between factory locations or companies. The concept Factory-in-a-box is: Factory-in-a-box demonstrator will provide solutions for availability and mobility of flexible production capacity. The key features of the FinaBox are Mobility, Flexibility, and Speed. |
