Welcome to the KIPTES* project's homepage. This project is funded by VINNOVA. Below is a short presentation of aims and objectives along with impact and results etc. Aims and objectivesThe aim with the project is to, from an environmental perspective, map and build knowledge about Swedish companies and researchers activities within the integrated product service offering (IPSO) area. Based of this aim the project goals are to develop: - Overview of literature that highlights for example; parameters to categorize IPSO; Pros and Challenges with IPSO; Research studies conducted in Sweden. - Increased knowledge about Swedish researchers that are active in the IPSO area and a mapping of their; research interests, projects (past, current, future), collaboration companies and published results. - Increased knowledge about Swedish companies that are active in the IPSO area and a mapping over their activities. - Case study; Indepth understanding and description of 4-5 IPSO companies. The descriptions will include e.g.; Life-Cycle-Costs; Environmental impact; Pro and cons in comparison to traditional selling approaches; When in time it is suitable to develop IPSOs. - A handbook based on the above stated studies. The goal with this book is to describe the study results from a company perspective. The handbook should be able to be used for companies that are interested in starting to develop and/or improve their integrated product service offerings. The contents will be e.g.; Inspiring IPSO examples; Examples of IPSO methodology; Directions of where to find more information (e.g. contacts with companies and researchers). Impact and results
Examples of effects and results are: - Increased collaboration and understanding between researchers and companies within the IPSE research area. - Increased competiveness for Swedish companies through enhanced knowledge about how the pros and challenges of IPSO can be treated. - An IPSO handbook which is widely spread and read among practitioners. Implementation of Plan and methodology The project and its goals are divided in 5 sub-projects that will be conducted during the time between November 2008 and June 2009. The projects will mainly be conducted by Mattias Lindahl and Erik Sundin with some contribution and support from skilled students from Linköping University and researchers participating in related research projects. * Kartläggning av Integrerade Produkt- och TjänsteErbjudanden i Sverige (KIPTES) |
